Visitors to the official USRA website got an early Christmas present today as officials from the USRA and Nitroquest Media Group launched a new full-featured home on the World Wide Web.

Four first-time national champions in four divisions have been crowned for 2013 in the USRA Weekly Racing Series.

Rules for the 2014 USRA Weekly Racing Series are complete and are available on the USRA website, officials from the United States Racing Association announced today.

The Monett Speedway awards banquet has been set for Thursday, Nov. 24, at the new casino building located at the Monett City Park.

Drivers in the two open-wheel divisions are locked in tight battles with razor-thin margins that will come down to the final night of racing while the leaders in the two full-fendered divisions have simply to wait until Oct. 20 to be crowned USRA national champions.

Opening night at the Monett Speedway Sunday saw defending USRA Modified National Champion Johnny Bone Jr. take the win while Scott Drake conquered the USRA B-Mod main event in the debut of the class at the 3/8-mile clay oval.

In his 25th year of racing, Johnny Bone Jr. of Pea Ridge, Ark., put together a career year on the dirt tracks during the 2011 season. He didn't break his personal season wins record, but his 22 feature wins in 44 starts against some big fields and stiff comeptition was remarkable and earned the 45-year-old the title of USRA RHS Modified National Champion.

USRA RHS Modified competitor Johnny Bone Jr. of Pea Ridge, Ark. joined Dirt Cast Wednesday to talk about his 2010 season, finishing fourth in the USRA RHS Modified national points and more.
